Dr Baruah is currently Professor and Director, Surya Kumar Bhuyan School of Social Sciences, Krishna Kanta Handiqui State Open University. "Official macroeconomic data on economy of Assam has not reflected the economic problems and crises of common people in the state," says Prof Baruah in his lecture delivered in Assamese.
