This is the third and last episode of a special podcast on Namghar, a unique institution of Assam produced and hosted by Abhilash Bapanasha, a student of M.A. ( 3rd Semester) at the Department of Mass Communication and Journalism, Tezpur University. He has produced this special podcast as part of his Summer Internship at NEZINE.

Over the centuries, Namghar has become the nucleus of an Assamese village. Democratic and inclusive character of this institution have also enabled the villagers to play their part in keeping alive the vibrant cultural elements of Assam. The people feel more connected when they, themselves take part in prayer services like the Naam Kirtan tuned to soothing rhythms. The cultural attraction of Ankiya Naat and Bhaona also ensure participation of every villager in the activities of Naamghar.
