Voices of Northeast India : Rabha folksong Bogejari

A special series of NEZINE’s podcast- Voices of Northeast India- showcasing multi-lingual and multi-cultural identifies of the region through podcasting of folk tales and folk song of the communities in in the way they speak, converse, or sing.

In this 5th episode, we bring to you Bogejari-a folksong of the Rabha community in Assam, which narrates a popular folktale of the Pati Rabha Community, a subgroup of the Rabhas.

Sarurani Bogejari Cultural Group led by Sunjoni Rabha and Rodali Rabha performed this Bogejari song and dance at Chandubi Festival 2022.
